I have substantial experience evaluating research in Design and other disciplines, and have been a panel member for the UK’s Research Excellence Framework and Hong Kong’s Research Assessment Exercise. I advise multiple universities across the UK and abroad on their submissions for research evaluation, making a measurable difference to their achievements.

I also evaluate requests for funding for UKRI bodies including the AHRC, EPSRC, ESRC, and MRC, for the national funding bodies of Portugal and Austria and the European Science Foundation.

I review articles submitted to leading journals such as Design Issues, Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, Journal of Design History, Craft Research, Annals of Science, Journal of the Philosophy of History, and Interacting with Computers.
